Unlearn your corporate training and step into your voice.

When it comes to building your personal brand through thought leadership, articles, podcasts and media interviews, everyone asks the same question: What am I going to say?

And this is hard, because when you spend decades working for other people inside bigger companies, you are taught to communicate a certain way.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but to start building your personal brand, you have to be yourself, talk more like you would with your friends, and less like you would in the boardroom.

You have to get comfortable with leaving your corporate training at the door and letting your own personality shine.

On this episode, I talk about the importance of finding your own voice and using it — at first in small ways, like on LinkedIn. I give you an example of how to share a job announcement in a way that feels real and authentic to you, but also showcases your unique expertise and begins to build your personal brand.

I hope you enjoy this episode. Thanks for listening! Be sure to subscribe to my show wherever you get your podcasts. Like, love and share these episodes generously... because every engagement matters when you're elevating the visibility of women in business. That, dear friends, is the whole point.
